So it begins. Ten months ago, Stephen and Dennis made a trip to Nicaragua solely at the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
They did not know anyone in the country, and had no idea what the Lord had planned. Well, here we are 10 months later and we are about to embark onNicaragua Ora 2013. What took eight plus years to do in Honduras, the Lord did in 10 months.
This week a team of 91 people from the US, Canada, Honduras, and Nicaragua will bless hundreds of needy people in Nicaragua with 50,000 pounds of physical food, and the limitless spiritual food of the Word of God.
On Friday and Saturday we will hold crusades calling the entire nation of Nicaragua to pray and seek the face of God based on the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14.
This morning Stephen and Dennis held a press conference with several of the denominational leaders in Nicaragua. Here are a few quotes from Stephen at the press conference.
This time last year we were in the Olympic stadium in Honduras. Now The Holy Spirit has brought us here…I am so honored to sit at this table with these men who I consider friends. We believe that this will be a historic moment for Nicaragua.
The momentum here is very apparent. There is an excitement for Nicaragua Ora, and this is only Monday. We have not even begun the week. We are here, not to initiate a move of God, but to ride the wave of the Spirit of God who is already moving.
Over the next five days, the country of Nicaragua is going to experience the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As the teams arrive today, old friendships will be rekindled, and new friendships will be made. There is something special about being part of a group of believers who are willing to stop their everyday lives for the sake of the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
There is a special bond that takes place between us that is eternal. No matter where the Lord leads us from here, we will always be part of the LOLI family that experienced God do great and mighty things before our very eyes.
But I’m getting ahead of myself, as I said its only Monday and we haven’t even gotten started yet!
