Gas Stations, Flat Tires and the Manifest Presence of the Lord

By | LOLI Missions

I just returned from a week long trip in Honduras, and wow so much is happening! The first part of the trip included lots of travel, starting with a 5 hour drive from San Pedro Sula to Ocotepeque. This is where we held our 30th LOLI crusade last month and we went back there now to secure the harvest. It is so important to follow up with the pastors and to say thank you to all the ushers, intercessors and volunteers who worked hard to bring the crusade week together. It was good to hear the testimonies – including one man who stopped at the gas station across the road from where we were holding the evangelistic crusade. When he stepped out of his car to get gas, he heard the message going forth and felt goosebumps. The size of the crowd, the testimonies, all of it impacted him so…

Mexico City Crusade, Cactus and Presidential Shirts!

By | LOLI Missions

Four days after returning from the 3 Borders crusade in Ocotepeque, Honduras – Dennis, Steve, Alvaro and I were on our way to Mexico City. Our hearts were full of excitement not only because we had been invited to speak to a national audience – but the prayerful gathering would take place in the historic Zocalo Square. The next morning we walked to Zocalo Square to prayer walk the area. The stage was being set up as thousands of people moved in and around the square. Dennis, Steve, Alvaro and I each took a corner of the famous square and prayed for the crusade, the leading pastors and Mexico City. On the way back to the hotel, Alvaro took us by a dress shop where he talked Dennis and Steve into buying the Presidential Shirt – a comfortable white dress shirt often worn during formal gatherings in Mexico and Central…

Outpouring in Ocotepeque

By | LOLI Missions

It didn’t start out as the 3 Borders Crusade.  For me, it started by hearing “Ocotepeque” in a time of prayer. I wasn’t the only one sensing that direction from the Holy Spirit. Our scouting trip gave confirmation that this was indeed the path forward. As the campaign began, our vision began to expand. What if we could impact all 3 nations? Both El Salvador and Guatemala were only a few miles away from this city in the southwest corner of Honduras. Pastors from both countries as well as Ocotepeque caught the vision. By the time the team arrived there were posters in all 3 countries advertising the 3 Borders Crusade. Daily compassion ministry started off with a bang. The entire team returned the first day with big smiles. Many people had responded to the message of the gospel, receiving Jesus from house to house and in the streets….

Make Sure You Finish

By | LOLI Missions

In Luke 14:25-30, we read Jesus’ parable about counting the cost of discipleship. He said, “Which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down FIRST and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?” My friend, salvation is free, but serving God will cost you everything! Don’t be intimidated by that, though, because it’s quite like trading pennies for bars of gold. It’s more than worth the cost! This month, I encourage you to take some time to really think about your relationship with Jesus Christ. I encourage you to build a tower of faith that will stand as a testament to the grace and favor of God. It’s going to cost you something, and that’s okay. Maybe it will cost you hitting your snooze button in the mornings so you can seek His face before you start the activities of your day. Maybe it…

One time when I was in Ecuador, I saw the lengths to which the Holy Spirit will go to draw a person. I was part of a medical clinic serving people in a valley surrounded by high mountains. The people in the village lined up outside the tent then the doctors and nurses examined the people, starting with the mothers and their children. I was part of the team that met with the individuals and families after the check up to pray for their needs and share about Jesus. Near the end of the day, the line was still long and the sun was hot. The team worked as quickly as they could to move people through. The medical team asked the last man to come in the tent if there was anything in particular that needed to be looked at. He replied that he was in perfect health and…

Our recent crusade in Nicaragua, began on Friday night in Masaya. It was an amazing, powerful night in which the Lord touched and saved many people. There was a breakthrough of joy and rejoicing in Him that is, quite frankly, hard to describe! And on Saturday, there was a beautiful spirit of praise and worship, followed by miracles of healing and deliverance as more souls came to Christ. The altar was jam-packed each night! Glory to God! Friend, we couldn’t do this without you. Your prayers and your selfless giving make it possible for us to take the Gospel to nations, like Nicaragua, that desperately need to hear of Christ and His salvation. Thank you! Our victories for Jesus are YOUR victories. Each soul that comes to Christ carries YOUR name into the Kingdom of God, because your support enabled us to reach them! So, in a very real way,…

Have you considered the times in which we live? Our generation-more than any other-has the tools and the passion to take the Gospel to every tribe, city and nation. What a divine opportunity—to take the message of our Savior and King and broadcast it to the world! One-on-one evangelism is crucial and critical to winning our world. There were only 120 people in the Upper Room, but when they were touched by the fire of the Holy Spirit, power and courage flowed through them. They went out, spoke of the resurrection of Jesus, and things began to happen. The Bible describes it this way: “…they went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs” (Mark 16). The same is true for us today. The same Lord who was passionate for souls then is the same King who is passionate for souls…

On Monday, August 3rd, thirty of our team members arrived in Nicaragua. We were very happy to get busy once we were on the ground. Tuesday was also our first day of distribution, and we were all excited about that! Bags of groceries were divided among three teams to take to those in need in Masaya. Friend, to see the light in the eyes of these precious people when they receive bags of groceries touches the heart on such a deep level. They are so grateful for the very things we in the U.S. take for granted. It really puts things in perspective! We continued to distribute food, toys and flip-flops on Wednesday and Thursday as well. YOU are a part of this. Through your giving, souls are saved, people are delivered from addictive behaviors and hopelessness, children and their families are fed and clothed. Consider for a moment that…
