Tuesday Night Services With The Churches Of Nicaragua

By | LOLI Missions, Uncategorized

One of the awesome privileges while on a LOLI crusade trip, is the opportunity to go into the local churches and share the love of Jesus. Most churches are small (50-100 members), but there are a few that are larger. The people are so precious and appreciative of us coming to minister to them. These are people who live in some of the poorest areas in the world, and they are mostly forgotten by the world. So to have a group of people travel thousands of miles to bless them is special to them. It is also special to us. There are very few words that can describe what happens in these services. The Holy Spirit is abundantly present, and there are many testimonies of people encountering Jesus in very real and practical ways.

Day 2 Of Distribution And Missions Work In Nicaragua

By | LOLI Missions, Uncategorized

It’s day two of distribution. The teams have at least one day of experience behind them now. One of the “side effects,” so to speak, of having this experience is that we see, with our own eyes, the depravity of poverty. Many of us have grown up in the States in a land of plenty where even the poorest of people are better off than a large majority of the world. It can be overwhelming to stand in the middle of a village of people who live in tin and wooden shacks with dirt floors. Most homes have no glass in the windows and no doors at the entry way. They have no indoor plumbing, and sometimes no outdoor plumbing. They cook over open fire pits, and eat their food in tin and wooden bowls. You quickly realize that even if we were to bring in 1,000 18-wheelers full of…

Day 1 Update Live From Nicaragua Ora 2013

By | LOLI Missions, Uncategorized

So it begins. Ten months ago, Stephen and Dennis made a trip to Nicaragua solely at the prompting of the Holy Spirit. They did not know anyone in the country, and had no idea what the Lord had planned. Well, here we are 10 months later and we are about to embark onNicaragua Ora 2013. What took eight plus years to do in Honduras, the Lord did in 10 months. This week a team of 91 people from the US, Canada, Honduras, and Nicaragua will bless hundreds of needy people in Nicaragua with 50,000 pounds of physical food, and the limitless spiritual food of the Word of God. On Friday and Saturday we will hold crusades calling the entire nation of Nicaragua to pray and seek the face of God based on the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14. This morning Stephen and Dennis held a press conference with several of…

Taking Food And The Gospel To The People

By | LOLI Missions, Uncategorized

We began today, as we will begin every day, with devotions. After a briefing on the details of the day, we set out to bring the message of the Kingdom of God. This is the day we have been waiting for for over a year. Since Honduras in July 2012 we have been waiting for another crusade mission. Now, here it is. Today we went on our first of four days of distribution. There are five teams who went to five different villages around Managua, the Capitol of Nicaragua. The goal for each team is to distribute 300 bags of food, hundreds of stuffed animals, and to bring the message of the Gospel to all we encounter. It is as much a blessing to us as it is to those whom we bless. It is an awesome experience to walk up to a home in the middle of the most…
