THERE IS SOMETHING BETTER… One of the most exciting aspects of a Light of Life International crusade week is experiencing divine appointments. These are very special encounters that people have with the Lord that we get to experience. On Friday of the Mexico Prays week, we experienced one of those divine encounters. A woman who was ready to give up on life, discovered real life. During distribution, one of our LOLI teams went to a neighborhood park that was surrounded by apartment buildings. As the team set up in the park, the members of the local church went into the apartments to invite people to come to the park to hear about the love of God. The team ended up preaching the Gospel to over 100 people that day and most of them made a decision for Jesus. But there was one particular woman who shared with one team member…
There are four pillars upon which LOLI was founded: Passion, Compassion, Transformation, and Destiny. All four of these pillars are evident during a LOLI crusade week. The one that is the most visible is Compassion. This is also the one that makes a very big impact on the local churches we serve. We show compassion thought the daily distribution of food, toys, and the message of the Gospel. Every member of the LOLI team participates in distribution. It is one of the biggest reasons that people partner with LOLI. This week in Mexico we distributed over 2,000 bags of food and hundreds of stuffed animals. This was done in one of two ways. First, we go door to door in communities offering families a weeks worth of food and stuffed animals for any children in the home. As we speak with them we share the love of God in the…
Poderoso! The word means “powerful” and sums up the past four days in Managua. The weekend proved to be a very exciting one and was a new adventure for Light of Life International. We hosted our first National Pastors Congress in Managua, Nicaragua, and the conference was incredibly marked by God’s favor and blessing. On Thursday evening we had the opportunity to minister and pour into two local churches, one pastored by the Superintendent of one of the major denominations in Managua and the other by the Secretary of the National Evangelical Association. Friday morning we met with the Minister of Government, the equivalent of our Secretary of State. Although this was the continuation of an ongoing relationship, we were astounded at the favor shown to us as we met in her office for over an hour to spend time in prayer together, both for the nation and for her…
If you didn’t have a chance to attend this years LOLI banquet, you definitely missed the best one yet. This year LOLI is celebrating 10 years of ministry. The focus of this year’s banquet was on where LOLI has been, were we are, and where we are going. There have been a lot of memories made over the last ten years, but it all started with a dream back in 2004. After spending time with Reinhard Bonnke, Stephen Evans returned to the U.S. with a desire for crusade ministry. He and Alisa began praying and asking God how and where to begin. They felt like the two spies in Exodus who believed God. They also felt the Lord gave them the same promise He gave Moses in Exodus 23 by telling them He would fulfill this dream little by little. And that is exactly what has happened. LOLI began with…
